They rarely meet the people they interact with day-to-day through email, messaging, text or phone. WHN enables local people to build relationships with like-minded local people to share ideas and challenges, and to overcome the isolation that can accompany home working.

No. Since its main objective is to encourage face-to-face contacts, WHN is not an online community. Online networking sites that WHN members use for Internet communication include LinkedIn, Facebook and Plaxo.
There is no joining fee. There is fee of £5 per meeting which can be paid as a discounted annual subscription of £40.
WHN offers the opportunity to meet with other homeworkers and small businesses in an informal environment to share ideas, experiences & lessons, test propositions, introduce contacts, solve common problems and create social activities. Specific outcomes will vary depending on who turns up and what each person brings – that is what networking is about.
WHN meets on a monthly basis – 1st Wednesday of every month – from 12.00 to 14.00. The format of each meeting allows each person to present who they are and what they do in a relaxed environment. From time to time, WHN meetings are led by external speakers who present on specific areas of common interest.
